Work Experience

Lead Product designer
schoology New York, NY //  june 2017 – JANUARY 2019

Schoology is a Learning Management System for K-12 schools, higher education institutions, and corporations that allows users to create and share valuable, engaging content to improve student performance, foster collaboration and personalize learning.

  • Led the design for one of Schoology’s main products, the Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Designed interfaces, interactive prototypes and workflows for LMS web and native applications

  • Worked closely with product management team to define business requirements and user needs, and used different UX methodologies to translate insights into concepts and elegant interfaces

  • Conducted user interviews, created workflows and ran usability tests to uncover pain points. Iterated and evolved solutions and designs on features post implementation with additional interview and tests

  • Mentored and worked with junior team members on projects with varying complexities to help them navigate through and solve difficult design problems

  • Owned the design and implementation of Schoology’s Design System which included atomic design methodology, a style guide, illustration and art direction, with responsive and accessible features

Yieldmo New York, NY //  February 2016 – june 2017

Yieldmo is a Google Ventures startup that builds mobile advertising products driven by design and data. Yieldmo aims to elevate the digital advertising experience for consumers, advertisers, publishers with consumer-friendly mobile ad formats.

  • Responsible for the full spectrum of design work for complex web applications, from ideation, wireframes, prototype and fidelity mockups to product release

  • Designed, prepared, and facilitated workshops with internal and external stakeholders

  • Collaborated with product and project managers to translate requirements into workflows and designs

  • Worked closely with engineering to develop, build and ship final products.

  • Conducted usability testing for early stage and MVP products

  • Lead the redesign of Yieldmo’s client facing “Ad Builder” application, as well as other internal ad bidding tools

  • Created a design system, UI library toolkit, and brand visuals, and led the initiative to create a consistent design language across the entire organization

  • Mentored and worked with junior designers on various internal projects.

  • Developed a design system for Citibank’s suite of global products, which included a web-based style guide and UI toolkit

  • Collaborated with other designers, product managers and software engineers to build accessible UI components

  • Defined user experiences, created personas and conducted user research for Architech’s consulting clients

  • Designed multiple design systems and UI toolkits for clients, which were all accessible, and WCAG 2.1 compliant

  • Collaborated with a cross functional team of software engineers, product managers, product designers, and marketing specialists in an agile environment

  • Designed websites, Facebook applications and mobile applications for iOS, Android, Windows Phone for Kinetic Commerce’s clients

  • Provided mockups, wireframes (low & high fidelity), specs, and assets to engineering team

Boom! Pay your tab  New YOrk, NY //  PRESENT

  • Created a UI kit and Design system for Boom’s POS application

  • Worked with product owner to design new workflows including tipping flows, add to order flows, and payment flows.

Product Designer
Zuulu  New YOrk, NY //  PRESENT

Zuulu is an media based culture experience, aggregating all it’s content from Youtube and was created to re-imagine the way we think about film in a more curated form. All of Zuulu’s stories are produced by people with a unique story to tell from different cultures.

  • Conducted workshops and brainstorming sessions with founder on strategy and direction of app

  • Worked with founder closely to understand the pain points and users experiences for application

  • Created UI patterns

  • Created a UI kit and Design system for Zuulu application

Freelance Experience

2008 – 2012

Before getting in product design, I was (and still am!) a visual designer. I spent 5 years in the advertising and graphic design community after graduating from design school. I worked at various agencies, design boutiques and in house firms specializing in print, editorial, branding (corporate identity) and websites/microsites, on projects for clients like Virgin Mobile, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Quiznos, and Cadillac Fairview.
